About New Life
We Exist
So that people far from God will be
raised to New Life In Christ.
BELIEVE. BELONG. BECOME.
Wherever you are in life, you matter and you have a purpose. Your journey has a next step, and we’ll help you find it. We want to help you become the person God has created you to be. It could start with serving, finding God’s vision for your life, giving, or joining us regularly.

You don’t have to take the next step alone. With a strong community of friends, you can laugh, grow, and serve with people who genuinely care about the lord and you.
Our History
New Life Church of God was established as South Harriman Church of God in 1957. The Lord led this new group of believers to convert a former tavern into their church house, and there they worshiped for nearly six decades. Our church family, even in the 1950s took the old and made it new for the glory of God. So it doesn’t surprise us that in 2013, we did it again. We purchased our current facility (a former canoe and kayak manufacturing warehouse) and began to make a new house of worship.
Well, God’s not done with us yet. The Bible says in Isiah 43:19 NKJV “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
This time, the new thing is us, not a building. In December of 2021, after a year of remarkable growth and restoration (literally and spiritually), we changed our name to NEW LIFE CHURCH, giving credit to God for what he has done within us.
“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” Romans 6:4 NLT. Join us Sundays at 11am, you too can live a New Life!
We Believe
In God and the Bible
-
In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
-
In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit..
-
That Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.
-
That Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the intercessor.
Biblical Holiness
-
Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.
-
That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
-
That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
-
In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through the faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Spirit.

-
He was taken up into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father.
-
In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the Earth a thousand years.
-
In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
Christ’s Promises
Power of Baptism
-
In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
-
In the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
-
subsequent to a clean heart achieved through confession and repentance.
-
In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance as initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit..
